Raley Field

Raley Field, home of the Sacramento River Cats, opened on May 15, 2000 and serves as the Triple-A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics. Situated along the scenic Sacramento River, the stadium accommodates 14,680 fans and features a playing surface designed by Murray Cook, MLB’s official turf consultant. All turf materials were carefully selected and developed by Marina Landscape’s in-house sports group in collaboration with Matt LaRose, the River Cats’ first Head Groundskeeper. Marina Landscape’s scope of work included the installation of new landscape and irrigation systems, as well as the relocation of the high-line mainline to maintain system integrity during road widening operations. This project reflects our expertise in delivering high-performance sports environments and supporting infrastructure.

Petco Park was a demanding and challenging project; the logistical and technical requirements were extraordinarily difficult. In order to complete over $2.5 million in landscape and irrigation work, Marina had to coordinate its efforts with dozens of other subcontractors while performing amazing feats, such as planting 72" box trees in planters eight stories high and shrubs on top of a twelve story tower. Marina also installed the playing field, meticulously conforming to all requirements of major league baseball specifications. All levels of the Marina team, from the field crew to the owner of the company, were fully engaged in making Petco Park the huge success that it is today.
