Marina was contracted for a Design-Build refresh of Jesse Brewer Jr. Park, a public park within Exposition Park, by JLL. The Jesse Brewer Park project was comprised of a refresh of existing park furnishings, addition of a new prefabricated restroom with a new ADA accessible concrete pathway, two new ADA compliant hydration stations, new and refurbished hardscaping and landscaping, new and refurbished signage, refreshed ached park entrance, and refurbishment of existing fence. Additionally, Marina executed a design-build of the seat walls and center plaza, expanding the area for better entertainment use.
Sergeant Matt Davis Park, a new neighborhood recreational area was built in 2007 near the intersection of Camino Largo and Barcelona Drive in Mission Viejo, CA. Marina was a subcontractor to C.S. Legacy Construction, Inc. and hydroseeded almost two acres of tall fescue throughout the park. Tall fescue is dense, durable and requires low maintenance. This beautiful park, set in a lovely neighborhood, has a gorgeous view of the city below. It contains a vibrant purple and red playground area with a variety of children's play equipment. There are benches and tables throughout the grounds, and DG paths that meander past flowering gardens. The park is utilized by families within the community for socializing, sports, and fun activities.
At over one mile in length, Yorba Regional Park is one of the largest parks in Southern California, and it is one of the most often visited in Orange County due to its easy access off of the 91 freeway and its large lake that attracts people of all ages. Yorba Park's heavily shaded picnic areas are also an attraction to parkgoers that are looking to have picnics and birthday parties. Its bike trails are also heavily traveled on the weekends by bike riders and workout enthusiasts from the Inland Empire area and Orange County. Other attractions, including baseball fields, volleyball courts, horse trails, and horseshoe pits, are just a few of the park's many diverse features. Marina Landscape Maintenance is responsible for all of the park's maintenance, including acres of lawn mowing and arbor care for hundreds of trees.
The 430,000 square foot park was designed to accommodate the neighborhoods by providing a public space for children to enjoy the playgrounds and water features, and to host local festival and music events. Throughout the course of construction, unforeseen conditions were encountered which resulted in additional unforeseen construction costs. As the prime contractor, Marina Landscape elected to contribute $75,000.00 toward the overruns. Marina Landscape’s firm commitment to community contribution, and the fact that this park would provide a safe haven for families and children, played an important role in this decision making.

This 6.3-acre park features a "tot lot" for 2- to 5-year-olds, an apparatus play area for 5- to 13-year-olds, a covered picnic structure with eight tables, a tennis court, a basketball court, and a pair of game tables for checkers or chess. A unique "pocket park," featuring horseshoe pits and additional picnic tables, is located just across the street.
