Orchard Hills

Marina Landscape's Erosion Control division sprayed over 255 acres of hydromulch, used as both an erosion control measure and a dust control agent. Marina worked closely with the general contractor, Pinnick, Inc., and was able to complete areas needing hydromulch within small windows of time given to us between the final grade approval and potential rain events. Marina has worked with several other general contractors on various job sites throughout the Orchard Hills community, including Post Grading Company, Sukut Construction, All American Asphalt, and Shimmick Construction, applying hydroseeding and erosion control materials.

Prado Dam

Prado Dam, completed in 1941, is a flood control and water conservation project constructed and operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Plans got underway in 2005 to improve the dam to increase its storage and release capacities. Marina is providing landscape revegetation and temporary irrigation on 147 acres of disturbed area. The work consists of a weed abatement program which includes three grow and kills to prevent invasive species from contending with the site’s natural resources. In addition, Marina is tilling in a soil amendment over the site’s 147 acres, installing a temporary irrigation system designed by our in-house design team and engineered by our field superintendent, and then applying a hydroseed mixture over the entire area. We will conclude our job by maintaining the site for one year.
