"Meeting the challenge of a difficult job" is an understatement for the work that Marina performed on The Elephants of Asia Exhibit at the Los Angeles Zoo. Working as a subcontractor to AKG-Saifco Joint Venture, Marina was responsible for the landscape and irrigation construction and the maintenance for the exhibit. This process was a daunting task considering exotic animals, living in their habitats, surrounded the job site, and the number of plants on this project totaled over 8,000 with 40 different species and varieties. This exhibit, a centerpiece at the Zoo for years to come, gives visitors a unique opportunity to observe the day-to-day life of the Asian elephant.
